If you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman.

In 2020, this verse from Jeremiah 15:19 jumped off my bible page, and the phrase worthy words pierced my heart. I knew God was giving me a clue about a new assignment.

I've loved words for as long as I can remember. I started college planning a career in physical therapy ... and emerged as an English major. Then came graduate school, which turned into a career working in higher education communications and marketing.

Although words/writing made up a major part of my day job, I could not shake a deep stirring within and a strong urge to share about what truly mattered to me: faith and following Jesus.

I started my first blog in spring 2018. Soon after, through a series of events only God could orchestrate, I left my stable salary for an unexpected invitation to ministry. It was a massive risk with many twists and turns, but I'm so glad I said yes. My life has been an adventure ever since.

A Brief History

Worthy Words started as a weekly email in 2020-2021, when the world shut down.

Next came a series of writing workshops in 2022-2023, gathering in community to worship, create in God's presence, and activate anointed voices.

Eventually, I compiled my emails into a 40-day devotional, published in December 2024 on Amazon.

In 2025, Worthy Words Co. hit the streets as a pop-up bookstore offering new and used Christian books, plus high-quality gifts and goods.

Most recently, a new door opened for me to get licensed as a pastoral counselor.

Through all these seasons and iterations, my mission has remained the same: bring truth and hope to the community.

Ultimately, my vision is to sow seeds and make waves in the Midwest through sharing the good news of God's kingdom.

Words are powerful. Let's use them to impart life!

I really loved this devotional. Each day was filled with thoughtfully chosen Bible verses, and easily digestible commentary. I loved the insights shared and found them quite meaningful!

Lord, raise up new voices in our generation. Bold voices. Authentic voices. Pure voices that cut through distraction and apathy. Voices that challenge our safe, sanitized Christianity. Voices that open eyes to the real gospel of the kingdom. Voices that captivate us with the beauty and identity of Jesus. May there be books and blogs and songs and movements birthed that will bring heaven to earth. Amen.
