This verse jumped off the page and pierced my heart one day.
For context, the prophet Jeremiah is deep in prayer, pouring out his pain. He's brutally honest with God, who (lovingly yet firmly) responds to his complaints with a rebuke and reminder: Jeremiah is set apart to serve as the voice of God. His calling was to deliver words from heaven, not human perception.
I've loved words for as long as I can remember. Writing for me has been an inescapable, life-long theme.
I started college planning a career in physical therapy ... and emerged as an English major. Then came graduate school, which led to a career working in higher education communications and marketing. Although writing made up a major part of my day job, I could not shake the strong urge to write about what truly mattered to me: faith and following Jesus.
I started my first blog in 2018. Soon after, I left my marketing job for a call to ministry, and the rest is history.
Currently, I write weekly to share God's words and inspire others on a similar journey of living bold, fiery, wild, and free. I invite you to read, subscribe, share, and join me! I'm a work in progress, and so is Worthy Words Co.
In addition to a place to publish my writing, Worthy Words Co. exists to activate anointed voices across the earth. Here's my prayer for this mission and vision:
Lord, raise up new voices in our generation. Bold voices. Authentic voices. Pure voices that cut through distraction and apathy. Voices that challenge our safe, sanitized Christianity. Voices that open eyes to the real gospel of the kingdom. Voices that captivate us with the beauty and identity of Jesus. May there be books and blogs and songs and movements birthed that will bring heaven to earth. Amen.
